We all have multiple Soulmates

This blog wasn't intended to get all mushy all the time, but the fact is that anyone that knows themselves has a soft part inside of them; yours truly included.  We all fall in love and we all get our hearts broken.

For those in the world that are in tune with their emotions and throw themselves passionately into whatever relationship they engage in, you must also come to grips with the relativity that you have have more than one soulmate in this world.

I came across this post recently

It reminded me that we have different encounters in life and our destined paths can collide in different ways. Whether it's a one night stand with a sexy lover, a friends with benefits booty call, or a long lifelong relationship, we should revel in the connections we have with people. Feel free to get lost in their soul for that one night of passion.

Because if you don't, if you hold out or hold back, then you just might be missing an opportunity to know one of your soulmates. And regardless of whether you get to stay with them for life, or never see them again, the experience of connecting on that level is worth having. Even the pain you may feel as they walk away or drop you out of their life, even that, cannot outweigh the tremendous flight that soulmates take together.

So be honest with yourself and accept that there is more than one person out there for you. Accept that not all of them are meant to be with you forever. Acknowledge that you or they could walk away and both of you will find others. And then you can live in that moment and not screw up your experience together trying to make something happen that wasn't meant to be.

For those of you that aren't male, the average male reader will translate this as: "Go stick it in as many partners as possible and don't feel bad about leaving before the sun comes up."
...And that's okay to.

Advice for recovering from emotional pain

I recently gave this advice to a friend that was going through a particularly tough set of events including the loss of a family member. I thought I would share in case there is anyone else out there that could use this advice...

Go out and take a walk among the trees, talk to nature, water the flowers with your tears, exhale that pain.... and then take in a deep breath of life and remember that those who have loved us still live on in the way they have shaped our lives. Then smile and laugh because you get to take what you've become and use it to impact and shape others and you've already done that in so many wonderful ways. Just take a few moments to revel in the joy that is who you are.

...And then fart.  Because despite our best efforts we all contribute a little crap now and then.
